P.S./I.S. 104 is a welcoming K–8 community where students grow as learners, leaders, and responsible citizens. We promote strong academic achievement while fostering curiosity and creativity. Through meaningful, real-world learning experiences, students develop respect for others, share ideas collaboratively, and take responsibility for their actions. Our school nurtures the whole child, preparing students for success in both their academic journeys and future contributions to their communities.

OVERVIEW

Our school offers a comprehensive and well-rounded educational experience that fosters academic excellence, creativity, leadership, and community engagement. Students actively participate in meaningful service initiatives, including the Thanksgiving Basket Drive, Toy Drive, and Coat Drive, as well as fundraising efforts supporting organizations such as the American Heart Association, Relay for Life, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. These experiences help cultivate empathy, compassion, and a strong sense of civic responsibility. To promote college and career readiness, we provide a variety of opportunities aligned with students’ interests and strengths. Programs such as college visits, AAA Safety Patrol, Virtual Enterprise, BeAble, Junior Achievement, Business Finance Park, and C.H.A.M.P.S. help students develop essential life, leadership, and workplace skills.Students are also encouraged to explore their talents through a wide range of enrichment opportunities, including a musical theater residency with Inside Broadway, the annual Science Expo, STEM-based learning experiences, essay and art contests, musical performances, Disney Jr. Theatre productions, and student art exhibitions.Our commitment to inclusivity and character development is reflected in our Respect for All initiatives, including Buddy Days, which foster positive relationships and a strong sense of belonging. Additionally, programs such as Mouse Squad empower students to take leadership roles by supporting school-wide technology systems. Through the CASA arts enrichment program, funded by Councilmember Kayla Santosuosso, students benefit from expanded opportunities in the arts.To support learning in a digital world, we maintain a strong commitment to technology integration. Every classroom is equipped with interactive Smart Boards and document cameras, complemented by access to desktop computers, laptops, iPads, a dedicated computer lab, LEGO Education resources, and 3D printers. These tools enhance instruction, foster innovation, and ensure that students are well prepared for future academic and career success.
