refreshed as we bring you the March and April edition of the PSIs 104 newscast we're hosts Liam and Alina here to share all the exciting updates big achievements and memorable moments from the past 2 months at PSIs 104 your school your news let's get started watch Madness took over our school during the month of March students were challenged to complete 45 minutes of reading and math on I ready each week those who met the challenge are an exciting prizes and showed off their hard work and dedication it was a fun and motivating way to build strong learning habits while competing for rewards even though March Madness has come to an end it's so important to keep up your I already practice at home continuing to build time on reading and math each day helps you stay sharp build your skills and keep the momentum going our school is officially adopted something very special meets her Bobo AKA cookie from class 4203 to Bobo is a weighted stuffed designed to support social emotional learning and overall Wellness turbo isn't just any stuffed animal it includes 5 key therapeutic features that help students feel more relaxed focused and emotionally supported throughout the school day and here's the best part every classroom from kindergarten through fifth grade has received their very own sir Bobo on April 13th each class got to meet the turboo spend time getting to know it and even chose a special name together we can't wait to hear all the creative names and how turbo helps bring calm and kindness into our classrooms on April 15th the school were purple in support of the military child we also heard moving stories from the students at the school who shared their personal experiences of having family members serve in the military their store is highlighted the challenges of frequent moves long separations and the strength it takes to adapt to new environments this helped raise awareness about the sacrifices military families make and encourage School Community to show appreciation and support for their resilience and dedication now moving on to the sports report with Elizabeth on Monday April 20th our 4 football team picked up their season with impressive debut taken on Junior High School to 34 and Junior High School 78 the team came off strong it's occurred 2 big victories winning 1 game 30 and other 18 to 10 stand up performances led the way with all of our m a sixth grader throwing 5 passing touchdowns and Fabian V an eighth grader swing in an incredible 6 total touchdowns the team kept the momentum going on April 29th another win against Marine Park Junior High School 200 78 finishing with a score of 26 to 18 all for em at a 2 passing touchdowns while Fabian V scored 2 touchdowns axle n and Miles k each contributed a touchdown and Rion D and u s each recorded an interception a big thank you goes out to Mr dibs and na for their dedication hard work and preparing the team for a successful start now updates on the basketball team on April 16th the team earned a strong win against is-30 but the final score of 50 to 36 Joseph B and eighth grader led the team with 19 points they followed that up on April 22nd with another Victory against Ms 915 winning 46 to 31 Clinton P a seventh grader had a team High 14 points in that game on April 24th the team face Ms 915 again in a tough rematch falling just short with the final score 48 to 55 despite the loss Clinton P delivered an outstanding performance leading the team with 21 points the team bounced back on April 28th with a big win against Ms 8867 to 54 Isaiah R and eighth grader led the way with 26 points overall the basketball team continues so strong effort in teamwork of the Season great job to all our athletes for their hard work and dedication that's all for now back to the studio have you ever wondered what really goes on behind the scenes at our school that's right from helping in the classroom to keeping things organized many students take on important jobs every day in today's future story we're taking you inside these student roles to see how they helped our school hi I'm Melanie and I'm going to be interviewing a few students who hold jobs around here in psis104 I'm here with Emma and Madison who are part of the media Squad what is your job consist of on a daily basis do you to make sure you're consistent with all of your jobs like today I had mine and I had to make sure that the students were following the directions and just making sure that they get the photo done quickly nice what skills do you need in order to have this type of job skills that you need to have this type of job is you need to know how to photograph things correctly and you know how to and you need to know how to angle the people who you are photographing why does this job matter this job matters because you're helping out the school so that way they can put all these beautiful photos of all the students onto their website and they're also really important because 8th grade students have a yearbook and you want pictures to put in them hey guys welcome back its Selena and I'm filling in for my Lonnie what is your job consist of on a daily basis and make sure nobody like does any trouble what skills do you need in order to have this job uh I have to have a lot of patience um what do you do if some kid um doesn't what's your directions and like they just say growing you go to a trusted adult and tell them so they could take care of it I'm here with 2 of Miss Morrison's monitors Giovani and Muhammad okay Giovanni what do you do for Miss Morrison uh we deliver all of her stuff that she gives us like papers and we go all around the rooms and put it in the little mailboxes and then whatever is downstairs in the main office we get for her and her little ones do you enjoy this job and why yes I enjoy his job because it's it was more since fun she's chill and like it's fun to work for her hi what's your job uh dream Squad okay uh what exactly is dream Squad dream Squad is where do you help people learn like other language so what made you pick this job so I can help people with what they're saying and translate in English I'm here with a mental health hi guys hi um you guys are assessed equipment yes okay a medical question for you what is your job consist of on a daily basis we have to like set up the cones for soft uh get the basketball so we can pass it to the basketball players hey what do you do if someone's not using the equipment correctly when someone's not using their equipment correctly I tell them please use your equipment correctly or you will not be playing with hi Elizabeth what is your job my job is answer your mother what is your job consists of we just have to go upstairs from lunch and we have to make sure sure that the sensor room is all clean for the next person that uses it there's always um rappers tissues and stuff like that and we throw it out in the and now it's time for a very special segment we're calling on a spy Teachers Appreciation in this segment students will pick a surprise prompt and delivered to a teacher who makes a difference in their day from kind words to heartfelt thank you these notes are small ways to show just how much our teachers mean to us let's use getting recognized today because a few kind of words can go a long way get this paper to someone who deserves if this paper to someone the funniest person there's no way there's no way I'm not that funny if this cover to someone a thank you thank you yes oh thank you you sure eat it ah thank you you guys are so sweet the best reactions so I had to give this paper to someone as the best reactions and affect you and there's a candy for that give this thank you so much so sweet thank last 2 months have been super busy here at PSI it's wonderful but they've also been a lot of fun games and events just special celebrations it's been an exciting time for our school community we're
